Marketing Nightmares

I have been trying to figure out how to market my books and everything is so expensive when you are broke like I am. I'm trying to join groups and such but my social anxiety is a big pain in the butt. I am in the process of changing my novels from Smashwords to Draft2Digital so I'm going to lower the price of my first book a lot , maybe list it as free. Hopefully that will get more people to read it. I am also planing on changing those first covers now that I know a bit more about cover making and where to make them. Hopefully that will help some while I save up to buy ads. Everyone is like grow your email contact list but that is super hard to do when you have no friends and no followers. I know I'm ranting but it's frustrating. Still editing my book and I'm being super lazy about it. Oh well is not like there is anyone anxiously waiting for it. I really want to finish this series because it has been quite a journey for me and I love all my characters. After that I will probably try to make novellas for a while or finish some of the hundred stories I have started and left behind.
